Who we are
Founder, Lauren Vincelli, is a journalist, chef, and pizzaiola born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. For over twenty years, I have been studying pizza as a historic culinary craft and paragon of popular culture. I am returning to writing after many years cooking in some of Richmond’s most loved restaurants and pizzerias. Recently, southern pizza history has captured my heart, and I’m taking you with me as I continue to explore this phenomenal food.
We are hungry for pizza in popular culture, history and folklore in the southern United States and beyond.
